We were in Afton this last weekend and had a wonderful time. Randy, Joe and Tory all went skiing while mom and I stayed the Adam and Emma. Tory and Emma went skiing on Monday. Emma is certainly a little lady. She is sooo lovable! Adam is all boy! Can't wait till this summer when we can see more of all of them! We are off to Mississippi again next week for Dillon's 6th birthday. Can't believe it already!

With the grandkids

Here we are in Wyoming this weekend with Emmalee and Adam. Tory, Joe and grandpa are skiing today at Beaver Mountain, so my mom and I get to spend the day with these two wonderful people! I would put pictures on but alas, don't know how! We will be back in Mississippi in 10 days for Dillon's sixth b-day. All is well with them, thank heaven. Andy's leg is still healing and hopefully they will be able to spend a month with us in Idaho this summer.

Back in Mississippi

I am here in Mississippi. I drove down with my friend Patty from Soda Springs. She had to bring a truck to her husband in Louisiana, so she invited my along for the ride! 3 1/2 days worth! We had a good time though.

JoJo is only 4 hours from where Patty is staying, so they picked me up and I am here for a few days.

We had the kids' pictures taken yesterday. Are those boys cute or what?! Dillon is such a ham around a camera. Mason is up on all fours and trying his best to crawl. Her family is doing well. Andy's leg is healing with a limp. His motorcycle accident in November pretty much curtailed his Navy re-enlistment as with such a bad break, he isn't any good to them now. It sure got him out of going on another deployment--mixed blessings!

I will fly home tomorrow and dig into our house as my mom moved in with us. She has her house lease-optioned to a good family, so we are happy about that.

Well, more when I get home. Hopefully I can remember how to Blog and put in my own pictures of the rest of my beautiful grandkids!

WE'RE IN MS

GRANDPA HOLDING MASON FOR THE FIRST TIME
DILLON GOT A STRIKE
ANDY, DILLON, JOJO, & GRANDPA AT KEESLER AFB PIER FISHING
GRANDMA & MASON HAVING A MOMENT

We left SLC on 10/17/08 for Gulfport to visit with JoJo and her family. Randy hadn't met Mason yet. We flew thru Denver and had a smooth flight. We landed in New Orleans and rented a van and drove the one hour or so to JoJo's. We had a beautiful time just visiting with the kids. We went fishing, bowling, out to dinner and played the Wii. Jo and I went shopping and out to lunch. We also went to the Fall Festival, where there was a downtown parade and instead of candy, they threw out Madi Gras beads (good thing for little kids to learn I think!) Anyway, they was fun just listening to the jazz band the walking around all the festival booths, etc. It was wondeful weather,.

Randy was pretty worried there would be an Amber Alert the day we left on two little boys, and I must admit it is pretty hard to leave them behind, but they are in good hands!

We have really been on the move lately. Randy's been over to Afton to help Tory and Joe put in their new kitchen, just beautiful hickory cupboards and red mahogany flooring. Then off to Pocatello to help Bran and Christie with their project of remodeling a trailer. It will be a nice home when it is finished.

We put our home up for sale the first part of Sept as Randy had a job offer to teach at Idaho State in Pocatello. Haven't had any bites yet, but that's okay as he had to turn the job down anyhow. But it would have been nice to be back closer to "home".

Our 7th grandbaby is here!

  1. JoJo and Andy had our beautiful baby boy, Mason Andrew Carter, Mac for short, on Thursday, July 24th at 12:30 pm. He is absolutely adorable and as Randy said, grandma is in love. We are so blessed to have him in our family. Mom and I will stay in Gulfport until Saturday and then fly back to SLC. Randy and I will return the first part of Oct, if we can wait that long! Dillon has been such a good big brother. He wants to hold him and feed him but won't change diapers yet! Andy is a nut about him. JoJo said she wasn't sure they were ever going to make it home and that Andy was "driving like my mom"! Not sure if that was funny or not! It is true your whole world changes when a baby arrives. We love you Mason.
